Performance Programs
Lawrence and Lynne specialize in programs designed for high school and middle school students. We could bring some entertainment that would make any evening event really something special. We also offer custom programs tailored to your specific classroom curriculum needs, as well as the following standard programs designed with the older student in mind: Northwest History: The Whitman Massacre Based on historical data, the true story of the 1847 massacre at the Whitman Mission. The Ways and Wiles of Wise and Wild Women This lively mixture of tandem and solo storytelling honors women's energy as a force for good in the world. Tribes, Clans and Kinfolk This special program takes listeners on a journey through world folklore, tradition and mythology to explore how we all find common ground in the human experience. Beowulf This performance program retells the story of the hero Beowulf, one of the earliest surviving epic poems written in the English language about 1,200 years ago. StoryHarmonics shares Beowulf's three memorable exploits giving listeners a real, tangible experience of literature come to life. Workshops A Day with StoryHarmonics A 40-minute storytelling performance is followed by up to three individual class workshops where students practice storytelling skills and create stories of their own. Teacher Workshop: Embedding a Story in Your Heart A 90-minute hands-on session that gives teachers techniques for learning and sharing stories.
